MR Forum Fit Club

To encourage fitness goals, share experiences, educate and uplift each other.

If you haven't started yet, you are welcome at anytime.

Share as much or as little as you want with the group.

Starting out doesn't need to be a big step, just take that step.

You are worth it.

Remember, give a hand to those in need.

After a disastrous week of not getting to the gym, eating a dozen doughnuts, and completely stuffing myself, I got back on the horse. 3 gym workouts, painting, and somewhat less junk food. Not going to let this one week setback get me.

There will be some Turkey Bowl Football, my favorite time of the year to play football. Hopefully I am not too rusty.

Keep pushing on everyone, best of luck.

Last week: 3 upper body workouts, one lower body workout.
This week: 2 upper body workout, 1 hour elliptical, Turkey Bowl Football game.

Back at trying to get consistent miles in a day. About 4 miles a day. No running. Maybe next week. 16 minute miles.

I am now a very fit train wreck. After two weeks off with a cold, I ran my employer's annual extremely hilly 3 km fun run (around our campus) on Friday. Still sore from that, I played a full league game of soccer against a very high level team on Friday. Usually I ride my bike to work on Mondays but was barely able to crawl to the car so that was a complete non-starter this morning. Fitness can be hazardous to your ability to walk!

Yes, working unused muscles is a killer at our age. Now they don't get stronger, they just get sorer, longer.

2.8 miles light intervals, 44.61 miles on the treadmill. Plus 5 hours of snowblowing to also remind me about unused muscles.

Ran 5 days M-F last week. Good for about 17-20 miles. Spin class on Saturday. Lazy POS on Sunday.

Ran 3 miles yesterday & 5 miles today. Taking tomorrow off and running the Turkey Trot (5th year in a row!) Thursday morning. Hoping it doesn't rain.
