Really enjoyed it.
Nice to find a series to be invested in . . . been drifting since LOST and 24 ended.
Anything else out there that's got at least a season under its belt?

Justified on FX. Starting season three this week. http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/justified/

from WIKI:
Justified is an American television drama series created by Graham Yost. It is based on Elmore Leonard's novels Pronto and Riding the Rap and his short story "Fire in the Hole".[3] Its central character is Raylan Givens, a deputy U.S. Marshal. The series is set in the city of Lexington, Kentucky and the hill country of Eastern Kentucky, specifically in and around Harlan.[4] Timothy Olyphant portrays Givens, a tough, southern-bred federal lawman, enforcing his own brand of—at times extralegal—justice.[3]
Justified premiered on March 16, 2010, on the FX network.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens is something of a 19th century-style officer in modern times, whose unconventional enforcement of justice makes him a target with criminals and a problem for his superiors in the U.S. Marshals Service. As a result of an eager but "justified" shooting of a Miami fugitive while on assignment in Florida, Givens is reassigned to Lexington, Kentucky, in a district that includes his hometown of Harlan, a rural mining town in the east of the state.

Watch a couple more. You should be sure by then.

I also second Justified & Boardwalk Empire.
Maybe try Sons of Anarchy (unbelievable at times, but entertaining).
Southland is good TV too. It's returning Tuesday night also, at exactly the SAME TIME as Justified, 10pm.

I'm a few episodes into Homeland. They finished season 1 at the end of last year.
It's very good also!

I too got sucked into The Walking Dead when they showed the marathon on New Years' ... great, great series IMO. The other one they showed which was probably more "eh" was "Being Human" ... and I've heard about, but haven't watched, "True Blood", but that's mostly because I really don't care for Anna Paquin.

The Walking Dead is a "must watch" show on my tv schedule. I got hooked during the first season, and it's unusual for me to stay interested long in any tv shows produced today. I usually dig the old shows from the 50's/60's/70's more. I was a bit PO'ed when they took a break from season 2 and won't be back until, what, February? I just watched season 1 again, and it still seemed fresh.

Breaking Bad is another good, present day show we're hooked on. In fact, we just watched the last show of season 3 today at lunch. Bryan Cranston rocks in this series!! (tu)

Partway into episode 3 of Breaking Bad-- oddly, I found The Walking Dead much more "believable."
Will try one or two more maybe.

I tried Justified a while ago-- got maybe 3 episodes in and lost interest.

Will take a look at Boarwalk Empire and some of these others, thanks.

That's understandable... Season 1 of Justified was mostly learning the characters and Rayland taking on several "cases".
Season 2 was more of a self-contained story that I thought was excellent.
I'm curious to see what they do with it this time.
