Police release video of Zimmerman after shooting: he's cuffed and appears uninjured
#1
Leak, leak, drip, drip -

Broken nose? No blood or cuts or bruises showing in this surveillance video of George Zimmerman taken at the police station following the shooting.
If you're injured the police send you to the hospital, not the police station. Paramedics gave him first aid at the scene and said no serious injuries. How did that become a broken nose and gashes the next day?

Entire Sanford police dept now under DoJ investigation, not just the Zimmerman case:

"SANFORD — The Trayvon Martin case is bringing more scrutiny on the Sanford Police Department. The Department of Justice will now investigate all cases handled by the police department, after receiving complaints from Sanford citizens.

It's been more than a month since 17-year-old Martin was killed and only a week since the Department of Justice, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI launched investigations into why George Zimmerman shot him. Now, the Department of Justice is launching another investigation into the entire Sanford Police Department.

"The citizens of Sanford will continue to have some idea that their concerns would be heard by an independent agency when they have issues with the Sanford Police Department," said Sanford City Manager Norton Bonaparte.

Bonaparte announced the new investigation Tuesday afternoon after receiving numerous complaints about the way officers handled other cases.

He said that so many people complained at Monday night's city commission meeting about Sanford officers, the city asked the Department of Justice to step in. "

This trial by mass media is sickening.
Please please please just let the guy just come clean that he freaked out and shot someone who was not a threat to him, and accept some sort of consequence.

This trial by mass media is what will maybe finally get justice done. It appears the system wasn't going to.

I'm proud to live in a country where police and prosecutors and the well-connected can be forced out of the shadows, and where families that experience something like the parents of Trayvon Martin will find public support.

It's very messy and sometimes ugly, but not nearly as ugly as what would have happened if the Martin parents had never made this situation public.

Yes, agreed, I was not suggesting that the media attention was sickening.
It's sickening that that's the only chance at justice the victim may get.

I agree but it makes me wonder about all of the other people who have gone unnoticed through the years. it's enough to make a bleeding heart bleed!
