It's been fun having great discussions with all of you, I appreciate all the wisdom and wit, but I'm not interested in being harassed day after day by someone who can't let anything go, and move on.
Lots of people have disagreements here, which is the point of an open political forum, but they don't have to become personal. Adults can and do disagree.
So I'll leave you in peace so that the rest of you can carry on.
So long.

Don't give him the satisfaction! Put him on Ignore, that's what it's there for. It will be like he doesn't even exist.
History proves that people who bid us farewell usually end up back here again. To quote The Eagles: "You can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave!" So skip the farewells and click that Ignore button, Grace.

The ole' "wrong people leaving." Your choice to be part of that.
I'd prefer that you stay, and maybe throttle back your investment if that's what you need to do to keep your participation here from becoming unhealthy for you.

You need thicker skin Grace.
I noticed last week that you started a thread that was going along just fine. No one was screaming or insulting and generally stayed on topic, but then you upped a post that said something like, "I guess no one wants to have a serious discussion today" and an hour later, the whole thread was gone.
I assumed that you asked to pave it pulled. If not, I apologize for the incorrect guess. If true - bad form, no one is in control of the direction a discussion will take and no one has a right to try to insist on a particular direction.
All of that said, haikuman - once one of the most enjoyable posters here, has been cranky recently and seems to be out to annoy everyone - you especially. I don't blame you for being annoyed, but there are other ways to handle it. The worst way of all is to petulantly announce your departure followed by a gradual return to the same old ways...
good luck - it's been good having you around

Report him and put him on ignore. It's not right that he gets to run you off.

Grace, before you go I urge you to refer him to the reply given in the case of Arkell v. Pressdram.
