on the radio they gave the answer I was going to ask.
Back in history so many were farmers it took that time to get in to town, vote so TUES was the most convenient day. Do you think in this modern age we should change the day to Monday or some other day other than the traditional TUES?

It should absolutely be a federal holiday. Many states now allow early voting, and if that takes off than the official voting day becomes (more or less) the last voting day, and it shouldn't be a big deal.

What??? Another holdover from days gone by that has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on how we live today??? Why, that reminds me of something else some of us just did this past weekend.

What about a Saturday or Sunday. I think more people would vote. It is going to be very hard for me to leave work, and 2 others also want to leave to vote.

When I was down south, I was surprised to learn many places allow early voting. Sounds like a good idea. I wonder what the downsides, other than additional cost, there are?
