Pounds to slugs calculator
#1
We somehwat weirdly directly convert between pounds, which is a unit of weight, and kilograms which is a unit of mass.

Here's a handy calculator to convert between pounds and slugs. :-)

Just to add to this, if you put 10 pounds = slugs in your Google search box you get the same answer as unitconversion.org. example: 10 pounds = 0.310809502 slugs LyleH

I wonder what happens if I go to the Deli Counter and ask for 0.031 slugs of smoked ham.

To get slugs from pounds, simply divide by 32.2.

Pounds (force) = slugs (mass) x 32.2 (acceleration due to gravity).

When I was a kid, one night I stepped on a slug while barefoot. Ever wonder what slug between your toes feels like? I can tell you.

maybe he was trying to treat some skin issues

from wikipedia

In rural southern Italy, the garden slug Arion hortensis was used to treat gastritis, stomach ulcers or peptic ulcers by swallowing it whole and alive. Given that it is now known that most peptic ulcers are caused by Helicobacter pylori, the merit of swallowing a live slug is questionable. A clear mucus produced by the slug is also used to treat various skin conditions including dermatitis, warts, inflammations, calluses, acne and wounds.[12]
