I love the new way of working

So I just spent the better part of the day working on a few ads for a client. I'm sitting in Wisconsin at my studio, he is in Florida sitting on a beach. I emailed him the proofs, he approved them then I sent off to Charleston for publication. I sent him a pdf invoice, he paid me via my Square account. Done. Love it. Years ago, this same client used to take a month to pay sometimes. He made the mistake of asking me if I take credit cards.
I highly recommend Square, been using them since they started with zero problems.

And in case you didn't know, you can pick up a Square Reader at most Starbucks these days. the $10 cost is credited to you when you sign up so it is effectively free. Or sign up online and they will mail the card reader to you. For. Free.

I just signed up with Square. A client of mine said sign up for it and we'll pay you that way and I don't have to wait for a check to get mailed to me.
I just love that I can shoot pix, process the images, and send them off-all within the comfort of my home/office. I always had to have an art director at a shoot to decide things. Now I send an email. "What do you think?" "Change this to purple and it's good to go!" Done.

I got mine at the Apple Store. Same deal, $10 but refunded with first use. I got it there because it was faster and it's black, not white like the one they send in the mail. Do we know if the Starbucks one is white or black?

the impression in my mind is white but you know, i hadn't really paid attention. i'll check tomorrow when i go in. i've also seen the readers at Walmart and Best Buy.

I love Square!!

I have had a client email me a front and back scan of a check. I deposited into my Chase account using the camera and my iPhone Chase app.

Ever since I started using Square, I get paid faster and my clients get points/rewards/miles (so they get something as well).

I also have clients in several states and a few others in other countries. Just this morning I set up a new remote user in TX for a company that is headquartered in CA, where the owner lives in WA and his assistant lives in OR.
