Curious: Has Obama done anything you don't like?
#1
Is there possibly anything that this man has done that you do not approve of? In all seriousness I would love to know.

(I also know you don't end a sentence with a preposition)

ya, you're here enough to have read some.

First couple that come to mind: should have nailed the bankers to the wall after the financial crisis, continued re-authorization of Patriot Act stuff...

My god, do you read ANYTHING that we write?

I'll just toss out GITMO!!! He promised to shut it down and bring back basic rights taken away during the Bush II years. He failed completely.

And this has been discussed here DOZENS of times - how could you possibly have missed it?

no President is going to 1) follow through with all campaign promises, and 2) please more than half of his countrymen.

I don't like that:

• he didn't push for Universal Health Coverage
• he didn't empty Gitmo
• he didn't try to throw Cheney's sorry butt in jail

Not closing Guantanamo is very disappointing, but I think people had this incredibly naive idea that Obama was going to open the doors and tell everyone there that they could go home. THAT was never going to happen. Much as we hate Gitmo, there are in fact some actual terrorists/criminals/whatever in there, although not that many, but still you can't just release them all willy nilly into the wild.

And of course as the resistance to having trials in the US increased, and Congress refusing to fund the expense of closing it, and nobody being willing to suggest a replacement site -- well, it ended up being another case where Obama tried too hard to compromise and instead he caved. Something I hope we will no longer see so much of! Because that is the number one thing I didn't like in his first term, this unrelenting dream that you can get things done in Washington via compromise. 8-) Barter and bargains, yes, compromise, not so much.

I'm mad that he extended Secret Service protection to Bush for life.

I'm not happy that he has caved to the GOP claiming it was bipartisanship.

No, it was simply caving - nothing was gained.
