I used to read car and driver but they changed out all the writers and I don't enjoy it anymore. I tried guns and ammo but it's really written towards the enthusiast, too advanced for me. Yoga is a good magazine and I'm still enjoying it. Architectural Digest is amazing but after a few years it started to all look the same. So I'm curious what other magazines you enjoy and why.

I read Bicycling so I can chuckle over the $10,000 bikes I will never buy, and The Bridge World.
So there.

I still enjoy Sound and Vision magazine, Golf Week magazine. And Consumer Reports. Oh, and Wine Spectator. Renewals are approaching and not all will make the cut.

I think magazines are a dead media. Back in the day, I used to wait eagerly for my Popular Science, Bike World, and Road & Track issues because they had substantive stories about topics that you couldn't find out about any other way. Nowadays all of that former magazine content (and much more) is available through the internet while magazines have become much more advertising heavy and the articles have changed from substantive information sources to short fluff pieces written in breathy prose about the latest "hot products" (i.e. more advertising).

I still get Macworld, MacLife, and Air&Space. I got a gift subscription for a year's worth of Popular Mechanics. I also have a subscription to The Family Handyman -- I am anything but a handyman, but I enjoy it for the new product info.
When renewal time comes, I'll likely keep the two Mac magazines but let the others go.
My wife still gets a bunch of home decor magazines and likes them quite a bit. She's got the iPad versions for a few but says it's still too easy just to tear out a magazine page when doing a scrapbook versus something like Pinterest.

Are they still selling magazines?
