I am using Catalina on my Late 2012, and like it. It is the most advanced I can use on this daily driver.
Why do people go thru all of the jumps and hoops to use DosDude1 Patcher to get Catalina on an older machine. I know it would be fun to do, but I assume Catalina must have enough extras that make it worth while. And I suppose it must run fine or fast enough etc.
Also, not to start another thread, I may be in the market to upgrade some of these 2 or 3 computers Memory, that I got. All seem to have 2 gigs of memory, with 250 or 750 gig hd.
So up to Catalina, if it sounds good, and then put in a small SSD, and up the memory to 4 or 8? depending upon the price.
My problem is, that I always want to do it, with research, and low $ output. Any recommendations for ram, I suppose any DD3 is it? can all be used between 2008 and 2012?, And I will look thru my stack of CD's for a copy of Leopard, as the 13" Macbook is running Leopard, and apparently Leopard doesn't have a recovery partition. When did Apple start the Recovery Partition?
Off to Dentists, for 2 caps, and next step in putting in 2 implants....... S M I L E
