A dumb thought about Leopard: how come no Spots?
#1
You know, there's Spaces, Time Machine, Mail, Dock, etc. so how come there's
no tersely named feature in Leopard named Spots?! I mean, it's Leopard,
for gosh sakes!!

The new X theme is space based, don't let the cat reference fool ya.

There was "hot spots" a feature that watched a section of the screen then acted on it. Something like email a notification when this progress bar gets to 100%, that type of thing but I don't know if it made it into the shipping leopard or not.

I got spots - see them in the menu bar? Took me a while to figure them out.

The transparent menu bar and Timemachine background as a desktop picture.

(one on the "t" in edit and to the right of help)

laarree, there's also a mention of the shifting "OS X theme" in the arstechnica review.
