2 GB SD cards with built-in WiFi; automatically upload photos...

...to your computer or even to many web sites. I wonder if it works in non-WiFi cameras such as PowerShot A630, etc. Anyone tried one?

if you look at the comments for that review, most people agree that that guy seems a marketing rep for the company that makes these cards. he wrote only one review.

But, if it works indeed, if it resizes the pictures on the fly and then uploads them automatically to webshots (or whatever), that would be cool.

You could even use it as a security camera, see what the babysitter is doing when you are at work, just set a camera to shoot every few seconds and uploads the pics to a site.

Or so many other tricks can be done.

While it a cool idea, I would rather get 2gb for $29 Sandisk and use a wired card reader.

At an event maybe you can send images to a wifi enabled printer directly from the camera without taking out the card.

True, the feature sounds nice...until you run down your battery and your kid or pet does something really cute/funny/interesting and you are out of batteries. Also, I liek to have my images on a hd, not on a card where a spouse or significant other might erase it thinking since you printed it out it must be saved on the hd.

Sometimes I shoot tethered and print from a computer to a dye sub printer. Just pumping out prints. It'd be nice to print from the camera without being tethered. I don't mind missing shots in general. Especially kids. There's always shot opportunities with those guys.

Fair enough. If you have a use for it then by all means utilize it.
