There's a chipmunk behind my refrigerator…

I think. I couldn't see it last time I got down and shined a flashlight under there but he could have moved up to the drip tray or the grid in back—they do climb.

I left the deck door cracked open so Malibu could go in and out today without bothering me. I didn't think the fershlugginer cat would bring in presents so early in the season.

I heard him mewing behind me but didn't turn around right away and when i did the chipmunk was heading to the kitchen.
Malibu, of course, washed his paws of the whole matter at this point. I think he was miffed because i wasn't grateful enough for his present.

I've gotta figure out how to get that little beastie (the chipmunk, not Malibu) outta here before bedtime or I'll hear the two of them running around all night. And likely find half a chipmunk on the floor in the kitchen in the morning.

Pulled out the fridge, a real PITA, no wheels, things falling off the top, no animal.
Then when Isaw all the dust i had to get out the vacuum…

It never ends.
