Upgrading older PC - will PC5300 RAM work on motherboard that accepts PC3200 RAM?
#1
I am upgrading a PC that uses PC2700/PC3200 ram, and I know that I can order it online to get to me in a few days, but Office Depot has this for sale tomorrow for $28/1GB:

http://officedepot.shoplocal.com/officed...pagedetail&storeid=2540123&rapid=549131&pagenumber=3&listingid=-2091539751

I can be finished tomorrow afternoon and not have to wait.

Will this work? I googled but came up with no definitive answer. If it were to work, I realize that the speed won't be the same as with a computer that is designed for such RAM.

If it will not work, I will order some tomorrow to get here on Thursday or Friday.

ddr or ddr2 - most likely you're talking about DDR2 PC5300 and DDR PC 3200 - they are different sizes - will not fit.
