MacResource NYC Lunch. Less than a week to go! What do I wear?

Hi everyone,

Yups! Less than a week before MacResource NYC! I'm looking forward to it. The question is whether to break out the uber on the vanguard of fashion genius clothes or stick with plain ol' jeans and a nice shirt. Me, I'm inclined to go with jeans and a nice shirt. That's just me. I just _know_ the moment I break out the spiffier clothes that part of my lunch will drip on my shirt or drop on my lap. It's just bound to happen. Then again, I've not been to Todai and can't vouch for what is considered appropriate clothing for the restaurant. If it's anything like Minado, then jeans and a nice shirt will be just fine.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!

My best,

Robert

Well, if I were going to be there, I'd prefer the casual jeans and a decent shirt look. You notice I wouldn't even insist on "a nice shirt". smiling smiley I'm not sure a Mac crowd would even enjoy a place where the dress code dictated something fancy.

Last week about 60 people went to the best buy down the block from Minado dressed in the same blue tshirts and khaki pants that employees wear. They didn't do anything bad, just hung around smiling, that was enough to cause utter chaos and get the police called.

Maybe we could celebrate the opening of the new Apple store in Manhattan on Friday by showing up there after lunch..all dressed in black mock turtle necks and blue jeans.

The store is only a quick subway ride from the restaurant.

Re: Fifth Avenue Apple store grand opening
It's this Friday at 6pm. First 1000 people through the door get a t-shirt. I'll try and get out of work early to stand in line. Anyone care to "hold" me a spot? smiling smiley

jeans and a shirt, as I said in the sticky, I'm not wearing a dress.

An Apple Geek Mob could be fun.

The sociologist, and historian, Adam Ferguson described the phenomenon of spontaneous order in society as the "result of human action, but not the execution of any human design".
