Norcal Drumworks Custom Kit (stave shells made from solid koa). The pics don't do 'em justice. They sound and look amazing.

The attention @#$%& dog seems to approve.

$$$?

Looks like a set of Sonars I once played with
that sat around the house for months (drummer
had two kits).

Banging made my own playing on keys so
much tighter, it sold me on having a set
around all the time.

I feel the same way about having a piano around, though I haven't been playing it much.

With an endorser discount, it came up to about $2,400. They were expensive, but no more expensive than a comparable set of Gretsch, DWs, etc.

They do have an old Sonor type thing happening...

Thanks. Yeah, I guess you'd call it a boutique company, Everything is made to the customer's specifications. I highly recommend the company (Norcal Drumworks).

Great looking kit! Personally I prefer at least 5 toms for that hard driving rock sound...

Yeah, but I can't play them. My buddy brought me back a set from India. I know some of the syllables, I can play a little frame drum, but I have no tabla skills whatsoever.
