Where can I find one? Is it worth it for this powerbook? Brother owns it now and wants to use his Motorolla cell phone with it. TiA

You need a USB/Bluetooth adapter.

I have yet to find one that isn't Mac compatible under OS X, but if you want to be sure of getting tech support, Iogear, Keyspan and D-Link all specifically note Mac compatibility.

I have a generic adapter that I picked up on sale for $26 at Microcenter. I use it with iSync to sync my Nokia phone's address book with the OS X Address Book and occasionally to send files back and forth when I'm not in the mood to remove the phone's memory card and pop it in a card-reader.

*Not everyone can do this with their phone, but I've also got my Bluetooth connection working with my phone as a wireless modem when I travel.

It has given me very good value. I think your brother will find it useful (assuming that he's running OS X and his phone is compatible with iSync).

I do not know if there are any BT cards for the pcmcia slot.

The USB one I got from newegg.com is a zonet bt adapter. Works fine with my desktop macs, but I dont see why it wont work with a pismo.

Only trouble is that it has to be an extra plug into the back of the pb...

Bluetooth adapter would work, but an usb sync cable would be faster and probably cheaper.

Excellent question. I will have to get with you on that one because my brother is sleeping right now after a graveyard shift.
