I put the 7200 100GB in my TiBook (replacing a 4200 drive), nice improvement.Quote

I'm getting a MBP next week, and I'm going to opt for the 100 gb 7200. The extra 20 would be nice, but I'm getting this laptop to be fast, and I imagine the extra drive speed to make a big difference. I certainly noticed a difference upgrading from the 4200 rpm in my g4 PB to the 5400 Seagate.

That's even worse! I'd have to lug a screen and keyboard around, too. Plus the battery life on those is dreadful.Quote

true, but a bus powered 2.5" drive isnt much larger than a deck of cards.
i mean wtf are you planning on keeping on your MBP?
if you need hundreds of gigs, then you should get a tower...
