The Young Redheaded Lass at the 5th Ave. Apple Store is hot

young, but hot, and she even talked to us old fscks (that being me, poochies, and Robert, Trisho was ignoring us).
Now that I think about, she was telling us it was just about time for her lunch break, and how she didn't know where anything was around the area, I almost offered to go to lunch with her, but I was waiting for the single man in the group to do that.

Why did you even bother bringing this up if there were no pics?
What a miserable, motherless fsck you are.

I should have mentioned this earlier, but the redhead in the 5th Ave. Apple Store resembled my senior prom date from a time long, long ago. However, my senior prom date had 1/2 of her head shaved, which horrified my mom. And to keep the spirit of today's MacResourceForum meetup alive, she graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology.

Yeah, we had the exact same discussion with her about where to eat. I don't wanna sound like a snob, but I don't know the neighborhood around the Apple Store at all. It just seemed loaded with tourists from Europe or the Midwest.

Monster,

Yups. The single guy of the group ought to have invited her for lunch. Under other circumstances, most assuredly even if I am a shy bastich! An opportunity is an opportunity, you know. But, it would've been wrong for me to ditch everyone in favor of the Apple Store hottie, so it'll have to wait until the next time I'm in the city. Besides, we were already in the company of an attractive lady! smiling smiley

Mamapalooza is at The Cutting Room on Wednesday and the concert doesn't start until 7:00. Hmmm... <eg>

Yeah, we had the exact same discussion with her about where to eat. I don't wanna sound like a snob, but I don't know the neighborhood around the Apple Store at all. It just seemed loaded with tourists from Europe or the Midwest.

I have worked in that area off and on since 2000, after many years working in the Grand Central area, which was full of affordable places for lunch, and within easy walking distance of the Indian restuarants south on Lexington. No one was happy with the lunch options in the new location. We didn't find any good, CHEAP places, but when we first got there, there were FOUR expensive chocolate stores within a two-block walk in any direction. I think there are only three now, possibly a mere two. The area is tourist-infested, and caters to them

Was there any male eye candy on display in the new store? I know there must have been at least one.

I believe that if you go to the store, you will find at least one male of the species that will rev-up your hard drive, and over clock your cpu

Jeez, you guys... why, I oughta...

What is this thread without pics?

One of you ought to go back, take some pics, post back here, and then...

Tell her about this thread. (Gently!) See what her reaction is. If she's any sort of good sport, she'll get a laugh that a bunch of anonymous strangers would get so worked up about this! (Hopefully she'd be flattered...)

PeterB,

Hmmm.... Maybe I should say something like this...

"Hi Nina (I believe her name was Nina), remember me from over the weekend? I was here with a few other friends from a Mac forum, who all just met for the first time? Well, you definitely left a great impression on us and I thought you'd enjoy reading about it. smiling smiley

And then ask her out afterwards! (This assumes she's flattered and doesn't take a swipe at me with a Macbook)

Robert

Hi Robert,

I say, go for it. At worst, she'd respond with the following:

"Boy, you're discussing me on some sort of message board? You're discussing your love life there? Don't you have a life? What kind of freak are you! Stay away from me, you weirdo!" (And then come running after you with a frying pan... the MacBook would be too valuable for this purpose.)

But probably your experience will be better than this.

grinning smiley

... but seriously... why not go back to the store AND show her this thread? (They do have wireless in the store, right?) She might get a real kick out of it, that she made such an impression on a bunch of strangers...

(Hi Nina!)
