I have been enjoyng Proton in electronica quite a bit.
Any other favorites out there?

I suffer from the same sensitivity that you do. A few nuggets of wisdom were shared with me and I'm "trying" to incorporate them into my life. First, remember that nobody can hurt your feelings unless you let them. You can always reject what is being forced on you emotionally.
Second, nothing changes unless you change it. If you don't want the behavior to be repeated then you need to take action. Otherwise the kid has learned that his behavior is the way to get things done, because everyone lets him get away with it.
In the meantime I sympathize because I've been there.

I usually go to "ChroniXAgression" for my hard rock / metal fix, also check out "AfterHoursDJs.org" for a variety of electronic music.

Recently got into the 80's channels. I've always listened to DI Trance and Vocal Trance under electronica.

Why am I still up?

...It says 2:14 AM on the post, but it's 3:14 here in Richmond. *sigh*

Public, Eclectic :
WERS (Emerson College Radio, Boston, MA, 88.9 FM) - Sunday afternoons has show tunes, then a cappella, then 'sandbox' (kids songs requests). Very listenable.

I love Radio Paradise in the Eclectic section.

KCRW is in the list too by the way.

I listen to a lot of:

- Virgin Radio - They play a great mix of old and new rock and pop.
- SKY.FM - Classical Music.
- Groove Salad on Soma FM - Ambient music.

I used to DJ here back in the mid-90s. If it has been recorded, chances are that it has been played on this station at least once in the past half-century.

They have a great blog, too.

[www.luxuriamusic.com] has changed my life. Not iTunes radio station, but streams in an iTunes friendly format. Give it a try. Exotica, surf, lounge, breezy, swinging instrumentals, retro pop, go-go, psychadelic, etc.
