Soliciting thoughts on replacing my 6 year old G4 15 inch Powerbook battery, which died suddenly at 99 cycles (not unusual it seems for the Apple replacement batteries sent out several years ago). The NewerTech batteries sold by our sponsor are probably very good, albeit high $$$. For half the price, others are available. Might one of those last 2-3 years? That may be all I need until I can afford an Intel Macbook.

I have had horrendous experiences with BTI/Battery Technology batteries in the distant past, they last 1 year max. If they are still in business, stay far away!
