Update: Chipmunk Report, Good News

You'll be glad to know we nursed the little thing back to health. It really liked
Whiska's Cat food crushed up and ate a small amount of bird feed. I supplied it with
water but never actually saw it drink, I did get to see it eat a couple times. It
actually got to where it was lying on top of its towel instead of hiding in the folds.
We kept it long enough to see if it could go make a bowel movement and urinate
and it looks as if all is well. I was going to clean out its container this evening and
man was it lively. We decided it was time to release it back into the wild. I took it
to back part of the property and he sniffed around for a minute and off it went.

Thanks to all with the help and suggestions for the little chipmunk. If it will just
stay in the wooded area and out of the yard it might stay out of a cats mouth.

Told you... just a litttle post traumatic stress... I'll bet he has cat flashbacks for months!

And, by the way, if your cat goes out one day in the near future, and comes back with the crap kicked out of him, and lots of little chipmunk nibble marks...
You'll know that the chipmunk has friends...
