First post from Mac OS 8.6 on my new iMac core Duo

Cool. This feels so 90's. The kids will be happy to play their older Mac OS games on the new 20" iMac. It does feel slow however, kinda like a 300 mhz g3. Definitely a speed hit.

Getting this running was a bit of a headache as I pieced together a system folder existing on my hard disk, but should be pretty easy if you have a 8.5 - 9.0.4 install disk.

I didn't want to bring out my Starmax or 6360 to capture a PPC ROM, so I used the iMac ROM from the iMac firmware update. Need to use tomeview to extract the ROM file - used classic on my iBook to get that.

More instructions here for you adventurous types:

Cool cut/paste works from Safari in OS X to IE in SheepShaver!

Oh yeah, Ubuntu also runs great in Parallels. Now to install Windows 2000 and run all 4 OS's simultaneously....Muahahaha

bhaveshp, you are a sick person...your computer is going to have a personality disorder for sure...That is very impressive though. I read about a guy on Slashdot who had something like 30 different OSs running on his Powerbook. He had several versions of DOS, Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Unix, and some other variants. He was a consultant and it allowed him to use one computer to trouble shoot everything. Currently I have 3 OSs on my Presario: Windows, Ubuntu, and SuSE.
