I always thought it looked like a pipe, too. I wondered why they used a robot plumber for a logo.

A bazooka *is* a rocket launcher.
If it is some kind if IED, it's probably Wi-Fi. BT would expose the AutoBot to concussion or fragmentation/shrapnel damage.
