for some reason, when I tab now I go to every little thing on the page.
The box in advanced prefs isn't checked, none the less ....
In other words it's behaving like option tab even though that isn't engaged.
I tossed Safari prefs, NC.

Ideas?

System Preferences/Keyboard & Mouse/Keyboard Shortcuts

Check the setting for "Full keyboard access:" (at the bottom of the prefs window).

If "All controls" is selected, try changing it to "Text boxes and lists only."
