Today would have been Beth's, AlphaDog's, birthday. I know she liked to garden and I think she would have appreciated the beauty of this scene. I hope Louie and her son are coping with their loss. I miss her wit and wisdom. I wish Beth could have been around for this and many more birthdays. We miss you AlphaDog.

WHOA, wait a minute here... Did this happen when I was not paying attention to the forum? I've been sporadic the last 9 months or so during thesis but I didn't know at all about this. I'm sorry to hear AlphaDog died. She was totally one of the best members of the forum and the most rational (and funny as heck). Are you serious???

Miss ya AlphaDog! Happy Birthday, Beth....

We were just at Trader Joe's this afternoon, looking at dark chocolates, and I thought of her.

Thanks for posting this rgG. I've had recent contact with Mike and Louie and both are doing OK. Louie had to have surgery to have a fatty tumor removed, but he's recovering well. He's happy to be living at home with Mike, to be teaching Mike the rules of his house, and to be helping get Mike through the tough days. Mike is also doing well. He's having a hard believing that AD has been gone more than 6 months. Feels like forever and yesterday, he says. I agree. I think of her daily and very much miss her creative thinking and perspectives, her support and her friendship. Many days, I wish I could pick up the phone. . .
Again, I can't say enough what you all meant to her. And remembering her on her birthday is just another example of that.
