Woman Attacks Dog Breeder With Chihuahua

Thursday, June 8, 2006

A woman angry that her new puppy had died pushed her way into a dog breeder's home and repeatedly hit her on the head with the dead Chihuahua, authorities said.

The 33-year-old woman told police she had taken the puppy to a veterinarian, who said it was only 4 weeks old and needed to be returned to its mother. But before she could return the puppy, it died.

Early Wednesday, the woman went to the breeder's home, pushed her way inside and began fighting with the breeder as she tried to make her way to the basement to get another puppy, police said.

The breeder wrestled the woman out of her house to the front porch, where the woman then hit the breeder over the head numerous times with the dead puppy, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported, citing police.

As the woman drove away, she waved the dead puppy out of the car's sunroof and yelled threats at the breeder, police said. She later called the breeder and threatened her and her family, according to court records.

Police said they are considering felony burglary charges and misdemeanor assault charges.

Clearly an example of someone who shouldn't have pets... or kids... or much contact with other people...

Prob'ly a statement that applies both to the psycho and the asshat breeder... "Oh NO, my Visa bill is due and I don't have any cash! Wait, I'll sell someone a 4 week old puppy!"

C'mon. Who among us hasn't smacked somebody around with a dead chihuahua a couple times here and there? We've all been there.

I'd hate to see what's for dinner around there.

A breeder who would separate a 4 week old ( and inevitably unweaned) pup from its mother to sell it deserves some sort of harsh penalty, like getting chewed up by some mean old junkyard dawgs.

I agree!
Poor little pup must have suffered...

I don't disagree that the "breeder" was not a stellar human being...
But let's put this in perspective...

The "loving doggie adopter", after poor pup dies, takes his still warm carcass, and instead of treating him with respect... uses his furry little body as a club to beat on another person.

Anyone here who has bonded with a pet (of any kind);
Can YOU imagine using YOUR pet to beat someone with? Dead or not?

Someone selling a 4 week old puppy is not a nice person...
This "customer" on the other hand is deeply DEEPLY sick.

So who is more reprehensible? You got it: the breeder. That pup starved to death. The psycho is, well, psycho--what's the breeders excuse?

It's a case of the depraved and unethical (the breeder) attracting the insane (the customer), a common pairing.

I have two 10 year old chihuahua litter-mates, and I was nervous about adopting them at even 9 weeks old,
thinking that might be to young to have been thoroughly weaned. At 4 weeks old, they were definitely still nursing
babies, even if they could run around the loft they were born in (too cute and little for words).

"Thanks for not hitting people in the head with us, Daddy!"
