Is this hinting that the new MacPro will be black?

and use eSATA instead of FW800? Hey Larry! Why no hardware RAID? Any plans to upgrade the enclosure with hardware RAID?

probably just black to differentiate it from the FW800 housings.

and heres the specs including RAID:

Interfaces Supported: Serial ATA

RAID support: Can be configured as single drives, RAID 0 Striped, or RAID 1 mirrored using software.

Port Configuration: 2 eSATA Ports

Maximum Data Transfer Rate: 1.5Gb/s (or 100MB/sec)

Macintosh System Requirements: Mac OS X 10.2 or later

Windows System Requirements: Windows XP

Yeah, but that is software RAID (unless I am reading it wrong) which is not as good as hardware RAID. The FW800 enclosure has hardware RAID.

Hmmm, I always wondered what the new Intel based towers will be called. MacPro sounds confusing and not as good as Powermac G4 or Powermac G5.

Maybe MacCore Pro?

MacTower Pro

Dual Core Pro Macintosh?

Suggestions?
