This is really frustrating because no one seems to be able to figure it out. I'm uploading a file for a client, using RBrowser Lite. These screenshots were taken less than a minute apart (I aborted the slow one after the screenshot). The host says everything is fine on their end and to check with Adelphia that they're not blocking anything. Adelphia says they don't block anything.

So how can the same file on the same day at effectively the same time have such drastically different upload speeds? How do I troubleshoot this?

Perhaps the net was more congested when the speed was slower...

if you are on Cable internet, the speed is shared, so things may have been slower for that reason. DSL or other high speed, not sure.

a 100k drop in upload speed would not make it take 3 times as long...

It is cable internet. But every time I upload I get similar results. Doesn't matter what time of day or night, so the load would effect both hosts. I have a third host and its speeds are right in line with the faster upload speeds. There is always a substantial difference between hosts. And what really stinks is that the "slow" upload speed host is rock solid and very fast with tech support. And the faster upload speed hosts are dirt cheap.

Whether RBrowser is accurate or not, again that would effect both (or all three) and even so, whatever the numbers say I know it takes an eternity.
