Another Lion Question...

I recently installed Lion on a 32G flash drive, preferring to stay in the shallow end of the pool for now.

However, even though I selected Automatic Login for the primary user (me), the iMac goes to the login screen whenever it goes to sleep.

I've checked and rechecked System Prefs > Users and Groups > Login Options > Automatic login, and cycled it on and off.

Still, I get the login window and need my password.

What am I missing?

I have not used Lion yet, but in earlier OS X versions that preference is under "Display -> Screen Saver" IIRC (or maybe under Energy Saver?)

I don't believe either is correct.

Check Security & Privacy under the system preferences and make sure the "require password..." option is unchecked.

Thank you!

That was really bugging me.

I've never had that required on any install until now.

<whew>

Thanks again.

Yes, I was wrong. I was posting from an XP machine and didn't recall exactly where that setting was.
