I'm posting from the new Berkeley apple store...about to spring for a new iPad.

It didn't exist.

I sprang for a 32 gb 3G iPad.

It might have been a failure from the business viewpoint but it was an amazing platform. And at a time when the Apple II and the Altair were cutting edge, and long distance calls were expensive, it allowed people to do emails and real-time chats.
