Does this mean I'm getting DSL?

I'm 3 miles from a town of 4000 and everytime I call SBC about DSL, they say "not yet". I noticed a SBC box sticking out of the ground across the highway from the end of my driveway today.

Does this mean anything? I'll call them tomorrow, but I want to be armed with info in case the person on the phone is a no-nothing.

Could mean that it is just a POTS box. (Telephone)
What you need is a satellite CO box. (DSL)
