Blackberry can't not open Word attachment

A friend can't open my text-only Word documents on her Blackberry. She believes it has a filter setup to block out any Word attachment. What do y'all think? Is there a way around the "blockage"?

Don't send text-only Word docs in email.
Just send the text in the body of the email.

Then her BB probably can't open it without a newer app than that which comes on the phone. She should go to BB App World and search for an app that will open said .docx files.

insert an new app like some kind of word document viewer in your phone device may be a good choice for you to open .docx file in a quick way.
