did you?

are you trying to make yourself feel better by making other people confess to similar crimes?

That is a question for Too Personal Tuesday. This is List Wednesday. You should have used a poll so people can answer anonymously.

Oh, yeah. When I was 5, I stole a peek up my kindergarten teacher's dress when she walked by me during nap time. Her name was Mrs. Mason and she drove a Studebaker.

No need to self-censor, Paul. We're all adults here!

This is a very good idea for a topic. I think I'll use it somewhere else and claim it is my own.

Not that I can remember.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

I was part of the baby buggy bandit gang when I was eight. We had a clubhouse made out of an old cube truck box in a field behind some commercial property. It was near the grocery store and someone devised a plan on how to steal candy from the store. I somehow got picked to go with Shelly (the girl next door who was a year older than me) and her baby buggy/doll into the store. We would get comments on how cute we were, but as soon as no one was watching, we would raid the candy aisle and throw bags of candy under the blankets. We would then buy a pack of gum at the check out to help look innocent. It was the perfect crime and all the kids liked us (or more likely the candy).

That little scam worked maybe 3-4 times before we got caught. Whippings was still legal back then, and my Pop beat the thieving right out of me. Haven't had a desire to steal ever since.

When I was but a kid, I stole this issue from a newsstand at Woolco. I would have been glad to pay the $2 but they wouldn't have accepted it, I don't think.
