That's too bad. He had a lot of talent, and a knack for coming up with VERY popular shows.

Claydes Charles Smith of Kool & the Gang died on Tuesday, right here in my little town.

The Taoist Zhuangzi said, "Good order results spontaneously when things are let alone".
The sociologist, and historian, Adam Ferguson described the phenomenon of spontaneous order in society as the "result of human action, but not the execution of any human design".

I was at a fun wedding that "Celebration"" played again and again at the party. Kool and the Gang were just that.

Not to be cruel, but might this signal the end to Tori's career or is that just wishful thinking?

I was an "Aaron Spelling" kid. He practically ran TV when I was a kid, though they all seem kind dopey and schmaltzy now. I'm sure Mr. Roarke was there to meet him when he arrived from 90210.

And Tori Spelling has a TV/Movie career? Guess I just don't watch enough TV anymore. Probably for the better.

Instead of giving her grief (yeah, I know she's not a reader here) feel a bit for the girl because she just lost her dad.

(BTW, it's spelled < y'all >.)

.I can feel bad her dad died and still hope she has to earn a living on her own merits someday.

I'd feel the same if Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie's dad passed away.

Not a big fan of Paris, but that's kind of a low blow. Paris could have sat on her trust fund and done nothing. She didn't need to model or become a franchise unto herself. She was smart enough to do it though. I give her credit for that. It's a lot more than what most trust fund babys do.

I'll admit I wasn't a big fan of his shows.
OK, except for Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Charlie's Angels...

Paris Hilton is basically a porn star.
Sure, she's famous for being an heiress, but she's a 'STAR' because she was -- inadvertently or not -- in a skin flick.
Her fifteen minutes should have been over 20 minutes ago.

I am not Ryan Seacrest, and I do not approve this message.

And an unattractive one, at that.

Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Charlie's Angels…

That list makes me want to dance on his grave.
