I've got an OWC Mercury Elite enclosure for 3.5" PATA drives with FW400/800 only, no USB. No SATA support! Not sure if it will work with anything bigger than 400GB as that was the biggest drive I ever had in there. Although I'm pretty sure it has the Oxford 422 chipset FWIW. I am currently in the process of phasing out the need for this enclosure so if you are interested just PM me and I will get it to you eventually, no guarantees on when since I am not totally done with it yet, but again the plan is to not ever use it again. Comes with (1) power adapter and (1) FW400-400 and (1) FW800-800 cable if you need them. You pay shipping from 20904.

The case itself is the older clear plastic design that appears most similar to the current "classic" design- [eshop.macsales.com] it was just made before the line became classic I guess. Again no USB ports on my case! It has (1) FW400 port and (2) FW800 ports, all of which seem to be working fine although at one point in time I suspected one of the FW800 ports was sketchy, but I have no evidence for or against that now.

if i recall correctly, those take the standard wall wart power supplies. if we can get the required voltage, amperage and polarity then you can probably find one for cheep, non apple.

If you get rid of the whole case, there's no need to go to the doctor's on Wednesday; I'm assuming you're really offering individual units in the mean time, but no thanks either way.

Free case of syphilis...

You need to specify: is a case 12 or 24?

Cause I do NOT need two dozen. if it was 24, I'd have to donate some of those to the nuns of St. Vinnie's.

Would this be considered a "sticky free item?"
