He has done more to shape the world we compute and network in than our dearly departed Leader. RIP, Dennis.

Count me as another who appreciates the nuts and bolts people who make our digital life possible.

Dennis Ritchie was just such a person. So many gadgets I own are running some version of *NIX. From TVs to PCs to digital media boxes to phones. Even as a non programmer I've been impacted by his contributions. Crazy.
