Never had an iPhone bill. Just curious what percentage of actual phone bill is your taxes? There are so many extraneous taxes stuffed in my T-Mobile bill that is not even funny. My rule of thumb is at least 10%.

Our AT&T family plan has a mixture of non-data phones and an iPhone, and there doesn't seem to be any sort of special iPhone tax, there are about 9 line items of taxes and fees on each phone.

The Data plan is not taxed due to the Internet Tax Freedom act that bars Fed/State/Local taxes on Internet access.

It's really hard to say if this is in any way meaningful, since there are 4 lines, and three of them get billed $9.99 each. But just computing the percentage of the total bill that is taxes and fees worked out to about 7.67%

This obviously depends on your local taxing entities. Here the taxes + fees are about 13% (the Feds, State, County, and Town all have a piece of the action). There is no difference whether you have an iPhone or not.

Thanks, I knew it had to be over 10%.. I figure two lines with any meaningful plans is going to cost $200 a month total.
