Okay, so a friend of mine and former mac user who converted to Windows a few years ago has just acquired a 1ghz 15" powerbook. He's got Tiger installed on it. I'm a bit surprised that he's using it, as he and I have gone back and forth about windows -vs- os x for months now, and he likes the Windows way (I know, I know). Anyway, he has two gripes about OS X. I personally only agree with the first one:
1. The green (+) expand window button is still broken in OS X. I say still, because it never worked for me in OS 9, either. When I click it, it doesn't expand to fit the whole screen, and the placement is pretty random. I don't know why they can't fix this.
2. The Dock doesn't show each instance of an application's windows (the way MS Windows does). I showed my friend the hold-click method (or ctrl-click) on the dock, but he still doesn't like it. I would hate it, but is there a shareware program that allows this functionality (i.e., if you have two Safari windows open [not tabs], both will show up in the Dock)?
Thanks!
