iPhone 4S Data Speeds. Post yours (Sprint seems to be having issues)

Sprint seems to be having growing pains and some users have really so 3G speeds. Story here.

I'm still on AT&T, grandfathered into the unlimited plan. This test was this morning.



Running the same test on Mac, connected to my DSL line only gives me 4.4 Mbps.

So at least here, AT&T's 3G speeds beats my land line internet connection.

Of course the caveat here, is that one's 3G speeds can change drastically just in a matter of miles.

One thing of note, looking back at archived speed tests, as of late last year on my iPhone 3Gs, the best speed I achieved was 1.99 Mbps and the average was probably 1.3 Mbps.

So either AT&T has upped their game locally or the 4S is a lot faster.

A little of both, but the point is moot with a 5 GB cap.

Well, iPhone 4S supports HSPA+ on AT&Ts network so yes you'll get much faster speeds with an iPhone 4S than with an iPhone 4.

My Verizon numbers below- actually better than I expected.

It seems this was an anomaly.

0.68 Mbps up
