Folding @ Home stopped working

So it is pretty obvious when my Macbook Pro is folding. The fans get loud and the book gets hot. I turned on folding the other day and everything worked as expected. Then it just stopped. I turned folding off and on again but it is just not folding anymore. I have the latest version of the folding software and made sure it is turned on in the system prefs. I even restarted but nothing, no folding. What gives? TIA

If you are still running version 6.29 of Folding, most of the available work units require the '-advmethods' parameter. Add that to the "Extra parameters" line in the Folding control panel or to the command line if you are using the Terminal to run it. Then restart folding. There is some 3800+ work units available on the server, so you should get one right away.

There is also a public beta of the next version 7 folding client available. PM me if you want help setting that up. It opens up folding on Intel Mac's to more projects and WU's.

P.S. Those dates are good for the last release of the version 6 client for OS X. There are some later versions for Linux and Windows, but they decided to put all their Mac programming effort towards version 7.

Add that to the "Extra parameters" line in the Folding control panel

Thanks, I think that did it.
