Komplete 90g soundbank, mbp i7, should i install on internal or external drive?

If I will be running Komplete through logic should I keep the soundbank on an external drive.. or doesn't it matter?
It's not a space issue, I just want to run the synths and effects efficiently and I heard that long ago it was best to keep your sounds on a different drive than the applications... Idk if it's true now. (of course it would be more convenient to have it all internal)

Komplete is very particular about the location of the library. I tried external and had problems with presets. I re-installed everything to the shared folder in the user library . The navigation of the library and my presets has been much easier.
