Finally got a human being in tech support. India. I feel sorry for these people. They have to hear the complaints.
ATT has reduced billing and customer service support to daytime hours, and they are not keeping up with their issues. Hold times are 30 minutes plus, with frequent disconnections at midpoint.
When you are on hold they are now advertising that they are hiring new support staff and if you are interested in a job to call, etc. I wonder how many workers got frustrated with the complaints on the current bait and switch. I was promised a return call from "higher up" by Wednesday of this week. I have never received a call, in over 8 days. My "plan" is not "sticking" in the computer system, therefore the overcharges....BS.
To add insult to injury, every human being, starts off with a UVERSE sales pitch. It makes me want to scream. How about addressing my current problem ?
I rarely had problems with my DSL from ATT (7 years) until they started this UVERSE business. And when you did have a problem, you could reach customer service. I really think they are the ones that CAUSE the trouble in the first place, so they can tell you the lines are obsolete and push you into higher priced services like Uverse
Boy, if their cell phone service is part of this sham, I am glad I never tried it. The dropped calls are so bad in Atlanta, I was never tempted.
