For the first time in about 3 or 4 years.

Creepy. I don't like my new IP that much.

Just because it has two clutches, shifts faster, uses a torque converter or has near-infinite gear ratios, requires less driver intervention and is more efficient doesn't make it better in my opinion.

I bet you got a speed bump or they did a hardware upgrade. That's the only times they have changed mine. If you were at 4MBit, you're probably now at 6. Nationwide they are doing that "free" upgrade to compete with local DSL telcos.

Give it a shot. You may be happy! smiling smiley

I don't pay attention to my IP. My home URL is always

myname.homeip.net

and I have a daemon running that updates it with dyndns if it changes.

Nope, no speed bump. Still at my 2.9/300.

New router? That will also change your IP.

Hmm.... I did reset it last week, but that was before my IP change(I think).

Lemme try.
Yippie! A big speed boost:
3320 / 350.

Must not have deployed it in my area yet. Even then I don't know if it will make much of a difference. The line coming into our house is very bad.
