Oh yeah - I was on that page too, but then it came back 21 minutes later with the bad news. I know from previous experience that "reserved" means nothing until the CC goes through.

It was noted on the Woot board that they sold 107% of their inventory by 12:02. So a lot of people will wake up disappointed tomorrow...or they won't figure it out until the package never arrives.

I'll bring 8 bucks to the dollar store and have a good time.

remember when adding or upsizing the L2 cache card in a 6100/7100/8100 actually resulted in an appreciable speed bump??? and the 1MB puppies cost more than a slightly time warped G3/G4 processor? we'll miss ya PPC...

Honestly - just wouldn't be able to sleep at night if we took money for 'lucky draw' bad-o-craps. One person's crap... well, one person's trash is another's gold - but if it's trash to you, still does you no good to pay money for.

Most bags have dollar-store items in them, but every once in awhile, a person will get some nice computer speakers or a $30 dollar optical mouse or a $70 dollar wireless router.

For $5 bucks shipping plus $1 dollar for the item, it's not so much of a rip off.

I think a LOT of folks got the toaster based on the shipping weight and testimonials in their discussion thread. If you order three craps for $8 total, you're basically guaranteed to get at least one thing that's worth more than the $8 invested--I also got a nice little Samsonite camera pouch (the "bag") that's worth $8, so I'm back for more.

Somebody got a 61" DLP TV in his BOC, but YMMV.
