I almost bought it (and one for me) for the person who bought it for me (and she got one for herself too!)

Eat your heart out, Phil!

Ooh man, you obviously realize how lucky you are. Enjoy!

There are many in there I've not read. This thing is printed on art book paper, each image looks like it was pasted in there, and there is even gloss and mat coating on the artwork.

6+ color print job and the registration is excellent. The thing weighs about 30 pounds (or feels like it, at least!)

The books themselves are really superb.

If someone hasn't ever been into C&H - all they need to do is start with the first 20 strips. I think from there, it is addictive. Dilbert really took a while to mature and hit stride, though it was still funny. C&H as a 'toon is something very different.

I can read them (and do, with the other collections I have) over and over, like MAD Magazine, for years/decades, and while I know them, they are just as fun to read each time.

Wow, that's really something. IMHO, those volumes explain many mysteries of life.

life......and from both kid and adult perspectives.

These were an Overstock.com banner (from you know where) - for $77.

They have an entirely new foreward and some new info from the recluse, Bill Watterson.
He's doing paintings now - and there is a sample or two (I've only touched the first book thus far - for 5 minutes!). There is also initial strips from when it wasn't mature, a strip in German (not a calvin) and some political cartoons from his college paper and Cincinnatti Post days.

I'm a C&H fan. I have 5 or 6 of the books from back in the 80's!

I've seen that at BJ's and Costco, but don't remember the price. It's really nice. I have a bunch of books, but may have to spring for this also.

I would be all over that, but I already own all the original books, so it seems like a waste to buy them all again.
