Looks pretty much exactly like the one Sears sold under the Craftsman label except this one is Fluke yellow instead of Craftsman black & red. I assume that they may have been the supplier for the Craftsman since this deal is through Sears too. I picked up one a couple years ago when Sears had them for a similar price and it has been a good meter for my use except the non-contact voltage tester did not hold up well. It still works but I don't really trust it so it was replaced.

I'd want to verify the non-contact voltage detector in particular. I have one I never use that came with a multimeter. If it's like mine this isn't a bargain.

Reasons: Mine requires 2 LR44 batteries, which can be crazy expensive for their size, easy to lose and annoying to install. The battery-replacement end cap on the tester is hard to remove. And you have to hold down the pocket clip to turn it on. I borrowed a friend's Fluke, which takes AAs and is always on. Amazing how good design can be simple design.

The one in the photo looks identical to the one I have which uses a pair of AAA batteries and has no on/off switch. The battery cover is part of the pocket clip and gets sloppy after riding around in the tool bag and becomes unreliable due to poor contact. Still fine for casual occasional use but won't make it long term in moderate to heavy use in my experience.

In for two. I figure I'll find someone else who needs the deal or it'll end up as a present for someone. Thanks.

heck of a deal. The outlet tester is worth about $4-6 by itself. I already have 3 DMMs, one is a Fluke 87, otherwise I'd get another.

Thank you, space-time! I needed another multimeter and was keeping an eye open for a deal just like this. I already picked it up at the local Sears.

I know there are some crazy horror stories about the Sears in-store pickup, but I've used it four times this past week and it's super fast, in & out. By contrast, the last time I actually went into the tool department the service was so bad I swore I'd never come back. It took me 45 minutes to buy $180 worth of froufrou wrenches.
