Please recommend good source of camcorder batteries.

Hi,

I am looking to get a spare battery for my Canon ZR100 camcorder. The original one is only good for about 20 minutes. I have purchased high capacity battery from Ebay but it only lasted 1 year. Anybody here has a good experience with particular brand or store?

Thanks.

I've purchased from these guys a couple of times, including a camcorder battery - [www.sterlingtek.com]

They're also rated fairly well at resellerratings - [www.resellerratings.com]

batteries.com *may* have a reasonable price if you can use a % off coupon. On one occasion I found amazon.com had a better price than batteries.com. Shipping costs can make a big difference in the total price. Good Luck! Dave

I have gotten some from them--worked well. They ship from Honk Kong--but it takes about 1 week

I have a ZR20 that I got the extended life battery for on eBay. It's a generic "PowerSmart" 3900mAh Li-ion that has performed extremely well for three years now. It probably has 100-120 hours of use. The trick is to only have it on the camera when using it. Otherwise, disconnect and don't constantly charge it.
