I have posted about the problem with my mini and Safari on Mountain Lion. Everything works fine for a while, and then I am unable to enter text in a box like the one I'm typing in now, or like the ones on Facebook. I can get about two letters in, and then nothing. I don't use my laptop very often, but I'm using it tonight. I am having the same problem. I can fix it temporarily by opening a new page. I can also type into the URL are when this is happening.

I've tried resetting Safari, but not on my laptop since it didn't fix anything on my mini. I'm open to suggestions. Can I just get rid of Safari and reinstall it and get a do over? REally getting sick of this.

I have it happen with an older version of OS (10.5.8) and Safari.
Quitting Safari and restart usually fixes it although sometimes I've had to shut down and restart.
I gave up on it.

I fixed it with Chrome but now Chrome/flash isn't supported.
I'm watching this thread for ideas, too.
