Hey Joe, was one of the best. Heard it couple weeks ago. Made me smile. Weird I never knew he was black.

Just heard that. RIP.

Looks Like Freddy Fender is counting his days, too.

Love was a hugely influential band in the psychadelic movement. Not many people have heard of them but they really helped to shape the genre. Arthur Brown, The Seeds, The Strawberry Alarm Clock all blatantly lifted riffs, song structures and sound from Love.

Sly and the Family Stone were also inspired by both Jimi Hendix and Love's crossover ability.

RIP Arthur.

Wow. I heard a guitar lick last night that reminded me of the "Love" LP my uncle had. I was wondering if it would be worth the money to buy a CD of it.

Spent many an hour listening to Love lp's in the 60's. Wore out one copy of "Forever Changes". Still have the vinyl copies of their 3 lp's.

Forever Changes was always in heavy rotation while I was in college. Every roommate I had would discover it just as one of the others has moved on to something else. Itd always sounded good. I thought Arthur Lee died 20 years ago and was disappointed I never got a chance to see him. A year and a half ago there was an ad for an upcomming show with Arthur Lee. Mediocre sound system plus a mumbling Lee and an appreciative audience + one great show.

Forever Changes is one of the greatest albums most folks have never heard. Along with
Spirit -Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus and
Tim Buckley's -Greetings from LA
